What is this for?

Proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity Internation for the 2005 Hurricane Rebuilding effort to help those devastated by hurricanes several months ago.


How can I contribute a recipe?

Just click on Submission link and email it to us or enter recipes directly online with typensave.  Make sure we know how you want us to enter your name.  Many will be using the message board screen names.  Some are quite creative.

 

How many recipes can I submit?

You can submit as many as you like at this point.  We’re hoping to collect at least 200 recipes.  We’ll inform contributers when we are no longer accepting recipes for this cookbook.

 

Why are your screen names posted?

Essentially, this is how we met, as posters on a popular daytime television drama message board, and this is how many contributors know us and one another.

 

How did you come up with the idea?

Well, we post on a message board about our favorite soap.  One poster created a thread to post recipes for the upcoming Holiday season.  It was a great success, and we were inspired to do more.  Inspired also by the relief efforts of cast members of our favorite daytime television drama, we thought why not help in a way that we can.  In addition to having chatted about our show, we realized we had a lot in common.  Once some of us put the idea out there, others responded and voila, a thought turned into a planning session, and early this spring, we hope to have the cookbook out.

 

How much of the money will go to the hurricane relief effort?

60% will go directly to the Hurricane Rebuilding efforts.  The remaining goes toward production costs and shipping.

 

When will the cookbook be coming out?

We are hoping for Spring 2006.

 

How can I pay?

Do you intend to make this a series?

That is the hope, and for each new cookbook, we’d contribute proceeds to a different cause.
